If I remember right, it was mentioned at camp about there being a file with the Muslim call to prayer on the website. Maybe I've just missed it...is there any way I could get it? My roommate and I would love to utilize it in our dorm this year :-).

If you jump on iTunes and look up "Call to Prayer" you can find it. I am going to try to put it up on the Multimedia right now.

Check it out now. Go to the Multimedia page and you'll find it. You may need to download iTunes but I'm not sure about that. If you do just go to iTunes.com and its a free download.

Your welcome. Anything you or anyone else needs or would like to have to better reach Muslims for Christ, just ask.

Thanks for starting this line.

I was wondering if their was any hymns that had been translated into Arabic or if they had written their own or if there was a need for that or what. Im gonna be checking into it too but just wondered if you already knew or not.

They have translated most hymns into Arabic. They alos sing a ton of their own songs. There have been Arab Christian since the sermon at Pentacost (Check out Acts 2:11). So their songs are much older than our English hymns.

Check out arabicbible.com. If you can't get any there post back here and I'll see what I can do.

Tell us where your from Ranny? What you are doing. What you feel God wants you to do to reach Muslims. Welcome to the community!

There is a company called Multi Language Media and they have several cds of Arabic Christian music and hymns that can be purchased. I can't think of their exact website right off the bat, but I'm sure if you googled it you could find out something.

Ive got a really good question...other than the obvious patience and perceverience--( I know I need to work on my spelling aaron)--, any good tips on how to memorize the arabic writing and alphabet? I have alot of trouble keeping some of the closer letters seperated when trying to transate it from a book I have.

I can't tell you I know all that yet since we don't start language school till January. I'll get a friend of mine to get on here who speaks and writes Arabic and get him to answer you.

Aaron,
I noticed on our chapel calendar that you're scheduled to be here at Trinity this month. I don't know how long you're planning to be in town or anything, but how would you feel about doing something like a Muslim Evangelism Q and A time or something similar (I'd be open to suggestions, that's just what came to mind) while you're here? If you'd be interested in doing something like that, just let me know (either on here or you can e-mail me- bloom.sarah@tbc.edu), that way we could start announcing and promoting whatever we decide on.

That would be awesome. Whatever you can put together to give us the opportunity to sit down and motivate one another towards missions to Muslims would be awesome. We will be driving all night to arrive maybe an hour before chapel and then we'll be there all day. We are staying that night at a hotel so maybe something in the afternoon or evening. We could even be there the next morning if you needed. Just let us know.

Thanks for the reply! I'm checking with a few people to make sure it's ok and see about reserving a room and everything. I think the best time will probably be in the afternoon, probably right after lunch if that will be ok. I'll let you know as I get more set in stone plans. Thanks for your willingness to do this. I'm excited about it!
Will Jillian be coming with you?

Yeah, Jillian will be with me. Isn't right after lunch when they do the missionary prayer meeting?

Missionary Prayer Band is at 1:05, so it is after lunch for some people. Lunch starts between 12 and 12:30, but some people have classes until 1. I'm checking to see if perhaps we could just move missionary prayer band to a separate part of the Dining Commons and kind of combine it with this. This way the people who have a class until 1 could still get their lunch and not worry about being so pressed for time. I'm still waiting for an ok on that, but I'll let you know what works out. Thanks for your willingness to do this!

Well, it seems like everything has come together for this. What we're going to do is just combine with Missionary Prayer band and have this at 1:05, but in a room right by the dining commons. Some people will already be finished with lunch, but those who haven't eaten can just bring their food in. Some people have to go to work right after lunch, so we won't be able to take an extremely long amount of time, but I figured this would help a little.
Anyway, I was just thinking if you wouldn't mind just sharing some of what your plans are for Morocco, etc. and then if anyone has any questions we could have some time for that. Even if you'd just like to share some ideas for college students to be having an impact now, or just whatever you think would be relevant. One thing we hope to get accross to people through this is that you don't just need to be concerned about Muslims if you're going to be a missionary to Africa, or even other predominately Muslim countries, but that it's something relevant even here in the US.
I've started spreading the word in Missionary Prayer band, and I think we're also going to have an announcement in chapel, hopefully incorporating the call to prayer...thought that might be a good attention-getter.
Well, I guess that's all...thanks again for doing this!

Bro. Bashore,
Thanks again to you (& all the others) for taking the time out to spend with us all in Missionary Prayer Band that day. Also, the message in chapel was phenomenal and there was really a great response to both that and prayer band. I heard some people saying that they wished missionary prayer band could have lasted even longer. God has really been working on our campus and it's so exciting to see. There's such a growing interest in evangelism and missions.
Thanks!

That's great. We are going to try to go back to MPB at Trinity before the semester is over. It's always good that they wished it was longer! God bless.
